BMW Design ...some thoughts
hey everyone,
nothing about ebay or making money.....whew!!!
i was just checking out autospies web site. they have a few photos of the upcoming 5 series. much like the 7 series...the front isn't that ugly but the rear neads an overhaul. the tail sections rap around lights look cheap and awkward . the rear fenders have a very heavy look about them. i'm not sure what BMW is trying to accompish but if it is producing controversial autos ....they're doing it!!!
many people will say that the 7 series sales numbers are up but they never say why? my guess is that BMW is dumping the car with attractive lease incentives and purchase discounts. supposedly a refreshened 7 is on the way.
when the new 5 is released it will probably have good sales also. mainly because the current 5 has been around for quite a while. many 5 owners are probably very ready for a new car and will most likely be brand loyal.
even when it comes to the interiors. they appear at times to be different but yet bland. rich looking but yet cheap in appearance. i much prefer the old interior designs to the new ones.
the problem i see with BMW's current design philosphy is that BMW will not be luring in new customers. this bodes well for MB. the only MB that i'm not to particularly fond of is the C coupe. other than that the entire line up is very attractive.

, however i did like the m5 picture someone created out of one of those pictures, that made the design look really nice. the base model looks plain weird.
