No Sound, NO CD Changer, just no audio

Go to the light blue area in the thread lists at the top of the page when you first come to the W220 Forum, find the Encyclopedia (where it says "start here") and start there. Go to the audio and phone section, and read the sections on the audio system. An hour of reading will save you a lot of frustration and time.
The audio system equipment is all connected in a continuous loop or circle, using orange fiber optic cables. If the circle is broken, nothing works. If your changer has been removed, you need a cheap optical connector to connect the orange fiber cables where the changer was.

Worked for me
I solved my "no sound" problem. I pulled the f66 fuse and reinserted it. Noticed that it took considerable effort to pull the fuse. I live in a dry climate PHX AZ. If these fuses are difficult to remove the likely cause is galvanic corrosion due to dissimilar metal contact. HMMMMM! If this is the problem it means that galvanic corrosion should be suspect in all electrical related problems in older cars. Mine is a 2004 Arizona only car. This might explain why water related problems occur as water (and dirt) would catalyze a reaction between dissimilar metals. esp high amperage fuses.
