My First Mercedes

Hello,
I am just wanting to introduce myself to the forum. I have been a petrol-head since I was young, and now I've decided to purchase one of the best cars, by the top automaker in the world. I've owned Alfa's, Audis', BMW's, and many others which I also like to tune and modify.

My current car is an '89 Corvette which I plan on trading in on an S-Class this spring. I'm very excited, and also to learn about which exact year and trim to get. I have already concluded that I would like to purchase a car at least as new as 2003 for the face-lift & reliability fixes, and I also would like to have the S500 for the bigger engine / more options as standard.

I'm already reading through many write-ups on the board, but welcome any input from others who already own. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the welcome!

I've been looking for an 'Options List' for the 03-05 S-Class so I can figure out what I want; things like Keyless Go, different wood-trims and the like. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Try searching the car on the AOL autos website and after searching for your car, you can "build it" and that should give you an options list.

You can also go here and look at the brochures: http://www.ragtop.org/mbbrochures/
