S500 Brake vibration???
Please Help! replaced front pads and rotors on my 2000 S500 TWICE. hit the brakes at 65+ and there's a noticable vibration in steering wheel. wasn't there before. followed step by step intructions from blog. greased the pins that hold pads. followed pad break in instructions. still have vibration.
new pads have solid metal plate on back. tried using the existing metal plates that have a cut out over new pad plate, also without, still have vibration.(should I use the old plate over new one, or just new one thats on new pad?)
should anything else be greased?
I'm about to replace the parts a third time, please help with any suggestions....

I don't think that brand would the choice for many here, I would bet almost none.
If you could return them, I would order new OEM rotors from parts.com $92.00+ shipping.
There are other options online, Brembo, Balo, Ate, Zimmerman and Meyle would be my preference in that order after the OEM rotors (if they were not available).
For example, the front rotors and brake calipers are made by Brembo on my car and most likely on your car as well. This is a very heavy car and I would not want to comprimise the braking power by perhaps saving 40-50 bucks. (These are just my opinions based on my experience and the special relationship that I have with my car.)

i would always go OEM for brakes ... not worth taking the risk (from a safety point of view) ... but that's just my extremely limited point of view with no mechanical experience whatsoever !!

I would gladly do that, I wish I knew that waas the problem, not something I did.
I'm confused now about what to lube, which shim to use, and where to lube the shim.
on the pads I removed, it sees like there were 2 shims..a solid on on pad-back and another over that that is not a solid piece, there is a cut-out in the center...do I use both? do i use paste between brake pad back and shim or between shim and caliper piston?
should I not lube the pad retaining pins?

You use them both and the paste goes between the 2 shims at the ends. Original OEM or Jurid will come already with paste installed.
Again, I have not heard anyone lubing the pins.

What did you use to clean the packing grease off of the new rotors? If there is grease on the rotors you will end up with that problem. Use a good brake cleaner (not gasoline it has oil in it) and clean them inside and out.
