If most of you with this problem read through the thread, the problem is the sensor and it seems to be a relatively cheap and easy fix as per a poster.

I read a thread that there is a contact on the motor that signals when the wiper makes a FULL cycle
and the contacts get corrosion and grease and won't tell the system it has made a full cycle to the wiper park position
and that prevents proper operation. fix involves opening motor casing and cleaning contacts.
