I have a 2001 S430.

I am seeing some rust on the doors and the right fender. Estimates to fix
all of it is about $3K.

When they fix it there is no guarantee that it will not come back.

So, I was wondering if it is worth it to look around for a color matching used non-rusted doors and fender and just replace them.

I've seen some doors that have been gutted for about $300. I would have to take the guts out of mine and install in other door.

Do you think it is worth it?

I gutted my front 2 2000 s430 doors for 350 each. Sadly after a year, the rust came even on them. These cars are just prone to rust for some reason.
