SRS Warning--Help
I have a 2005 S 500. Dealer tells me the front passenger seat recognition sensor is faulty. Warning used to be intermittent but now is on full time. Repair costs is $1000.00.
Is this right? Any other options?
Since this warning overrides the steering controls for the radio etc. is there any way to disable the warning (plugs under the seat, ????).
Otherwise, where can I get parts to repair at a more reasonable cost?
Any, and all, advise is welcome.

Several people suggested and successfully got the warning light off by spraying the seat belt buckles with a good electrical contact cleaner.
Searching should yield some posts about it.
