Alternatives/upgrades for ABC on S600 (2004)
I own a 2004 S600 w/the AMG suspension upgrade. I LOVE my car and want to keep it for many years to come, unfortunately, extended warranty going away on the 16th and I can't count the number of times I've taken the car in for ABC problems (car sinking and scary red warning light coming on) and more frequent and VERY irritating tire pressure monitor warning/failure - (Funny note, had a chance to drive an SLR and it had the same "reset tire pressure" message I have in my car!).
I know fixing anything related to the ABC system is gonna cost an arm/leg (I'm paying $900 to flush the fluid at MB Manhattan). I also had to remount the engine (under warranty thank god) but that failure caused the hydraulic lines to get pinched and there was a good deal of work done to the car as a result of that... Currently, MB is changing yet another line for the ABC and two tire pressure monitors.
I know this is a little scattered, but I basically want to know what it would cost (roughly) and if it's possible to replace the suspension system with something more reliable than the MB ABC system. All I have found was this BS air suspension to non-air suspension site which doesn't apply. HELP!

How did you get the 65 Suspension on the 600?
I don't think you can do anything for it as the coil over conversion is junk.
You'll have to find a good INDY shop once your warranty runs out and make sure they replace everything before your warranty goes.

I have the "AMG Sport Pkg" option on the car. In 2004 that meant a suspension upgrade, 5 spoke wheels and some cosmetic features.
I was afraid on having to find a good mechanic, I really want to keep the car, but I am not willing to spend 5-10k/yr on maintaining it...

All the 600's have ABC. Is there any way to extend your warranty?

Cannot re-extend warranty. Debating trading in the car for S65 AMG, but not ready to let it go yet... Something about not having the shifter on the floor in the new benz really bothers me... even BMW backed away from the column shifter on the new 7 series...
