Alternatives/upgrades for ABC on S600 (2004)
I know fixing anything related to the ABC system is gonna cost an arm/leg (I'm paying $900 to flush the fluid at MB Manhattan). I also had to remount the engine (under warranty thank god) but that failure caused the hydraulic lines to get pinched and there was a good deal of work done to the car as a result of that... Currently, MB is changing yet another line for the ABC and two tire pressure monitors.
I know this is a little scattered, but I basically want to know what it would cost (roughly) and if it's possible to replace the suspension system with something more reliable than the MB ABC system. All I have found was this BS air suspension to non-air suspension site which doesn't apply. HELP!
I don't think you can do anything for it as the coil over conversion is junk.
You'll have to find a good INDY shop once your warranty runs out and make sure they replace everything before your warranty goes.
I was afraid on having to find a good mechanic, I really want to keep the car, but I am not willing to spend 5-10k/yr on maintaining it...
All the 600's have ABC. Is there any way to extend your warranty?
