Airmatic MSG - OK I get the message, now what?

OK, so my Airmatic Error message has come on 2X in the past week. It reset itself the first time after I shut the car off, turned the wheel lock-to-lock both ways and hit reset "R" button. Came on again today and it just went away after driving a few miles. I'm getting nervious because my Indy told me it would go bad in a while and it would be costly to let it go without attention. He mentioned I could rent a tool to remove the system and re-install some new parts. Does that sound correct? I don't see any leaking of any kind around the strut tops, but he said I would fine hairline cracks in that area.

Any thoughts on my next move here?

Any and all constructive advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Paul

Slow Leak, Its probably the top leaking. Go to a certified shop and get their opinion

You can get the seal kit, its $550 with labor at the Indy.

slow leak EAS

Take off each front wheel (pass then driver). Check condition of rubber boot on the bottom of the air shock. Spray soapy water from bottle on it. Could be tops only, but most likely it's the bottom. Get replacements at Arnott in Florida online, local mechanic and you're about $500/each and good for at least 10 years. Please keep us posted. Thanks,

DTM - Are you reading the responses?

Go ahead and take into the stealer. I will be you $5 it is the lower part of the strut which is easily resolved with a new strut.
