ABC warning - hose replacement on V12TT
Hi all,
Just a quick story to relay.
My ABC red light went on at 53k miles and change...some slight smoke under the hood. After 5 days, I just got the car back.
Apparently it was one of the pressure hoses leaking, but ALL SORTS OF other items had to be done in conjunction with replacing this hose leak. From what I read, I think other hoses, the AC evaporator, freon, and then rodeo, etc...all had to be done. Estimate costs about $3k!!! Dang - I'm soooo glad I still have the ELW/CPO warranty.
p.s. On an unrelated note, there's a whining noise at 1500 rpm and up - perhaps more of a hum. I know there's twin turbo...but the sound is louder than before. Anyone have experience w/ that? The sound is definitely louder than before the recent work. Thx.

Hey, wow and you just got this S600 huh! Good thing for that warranty.
My ABC hose literally blew up once too, but thankfully all I had to change was that hose and it ended up being less than $300.
I am not sure about your whining noise, can you describe it a bit more? Like if the car is cold/hot, what other speeds/rpms, etc?

part of the whining was be the dampner, but they also found out the PS/ABC bump is also bad - thus making the noise even after dampner was done. good news is this was covered under ELW/CPO...yippee.
