S55/S600 alignment cost?

Hi all,

My steering pulls slightly to right and my MB advisor says "Alignment on one of these is about $299-$499 depending on if it needs adjusting bolts or not." I realize it's sports package S600, but that sounds outrageous for alignment. When I did my S55 last year, I think it was only $150, plus another $50-100 for bolts.

Do you guys trust indy shop for this? Last time I did it 2x on indy, they didn't do something right and the cost was premature wear on inside of front tires - that's even more expensive than alignment.

What do you think - shall I try another MB dealer, or try to find an indy that KNOWS about the inside wear issues?
Thx.
Patrick

Too high. Walk out and laugh at them. A good Indy can do it for $100-175, not including any parts you may or nay not need to replace

2004 S55 (SOLD, miss it every day), 2009 GL550
a year ago I paid 189 out the door at a dealer for an alignment on my S55 (the indie I had been using doesn't do alignments, i've since moved on to another)

your dealer is trying to drastically overcharge you. time to find a new place for service. make sure you tell them why you will never be back.

Cracks me up when you can do it yourself . . .

Worst case is you'll have to take it in.

You send a quad in for alignment ?

They are just as easy to do .

Give it a try before payin'.

Adjust one side only.

Then test drive it.

Did you check your PSI? Sometimes people think they need an alignment when their tires have like under 10 psi on one side.
