Not that I'm any authority or wealth of knowledge on S600's, as I only purchased one recently, but I will verify your claim with Fidelity.
Who knows...could be right, but I'll check just the same.

So I talked to my contact at Fidelity and it fact, the turbo's and engine are covered under the warranty. Their top plan, the one in which I was speaking about, is an exclusionary plan covering nearly everything on the vehicle - even little things (i.e. seat headrests, window switches etc.).
I even know of some MB dealers who only use Fidelity on their CPO warranty sales to customers.

I got 4 more years, 50k more miles for $4995. Doesn't include tax, but does include markup from the gentleman I purchased through.
This is their top plan offered.
My vehicle is a 2005 w/ 31k miles.

X10 don't even think about owning any V12 MB without a bumper to bumper warranty. Your $30K car will end up costing you $60K

Can you tell me who sold you the Fidelity, and whether it can still be available?
I've got 21 months/46k miles left on my 2005 S600, so I wouldn't mind getting a good warranty to take me out LONGER than the 21 months.

Btw, after 3 weeks at MB dealer for new power steering pump and AC component(took over 2 weeks from Germany to get the S600 specific AC part), I'm really ENJOYING the car...there's really not very many cars like this on the market.

Your right most companies that had cars that were as unreliable from the early 2000's through 2006 would be out of business by now. I would never want to buy a MB that was not a 2007 or newer. That is when they got the quality and reliablity back.

PS- do a search on the after market warranties and you won't buy one. Only way to go on a used MB is CPO, period.

I haven't heard of an engine or turbo going in less than 150-200k miles unless someone messed with the ecu improperly.
Reckless - can you PM me w/ the contact info for your Fidelity guy so I can get a price quote? I'm still on MB's CPO/ELW zero deductible, but only have 2 yrs left...would love to have your 5 yrs also. Mine's also a 2005 S600.
