Question w220 2002 s600 107K, suspension bushings & ball joints crack

Hi All,

Thanks for your help first of all.

-Please see 2 photos I took from the front-right side suspension on 02 s600 (abc suspension). ( FYI left-front side shows similar cracks )

-Please name/identify (proper name) A, A1, A2, B, B1, B2, C, C1 so I could order the right parts from http://www.germanautoparts.com/Merce...78/S2/23573823 or http://www.partsgeek.com/ymm/2002/mercedes/s600.html or if you know cheaper oem sites. Or if these bushings will be ok if they are not oem.

-Using flash light I could see that A1 is not fully sealed. I could see an opening right under A to A1 ( see white/ lighter spot on the pic ).

-A2 and B2 rubber bushing are torn somewhat.

-B1 and C1 are sealed/ no visible opening

I need to have A1, A2, and B2 replaced. B1 and C1 too maybe/ will these crack later?

What do you think the best way to do it?

1. Should I replace the whole arm ( comes assembled with bushing & ball joint ) or get just the bushing and get them pressed into the end-arm.

2. Nothing is wrong with the metal arm visually, unless due to the mileage, will it crack/ bent ?

3. Under what listing is the shop which could press bushing into the end-arm ?

4. If it is not much to ask ( or maybe ) briefly step by step to replace these will be heaven. I saw the video on ball joint r/r btw.

5. How many average hours pros could do these (left and right side )

You guys are the best!!

I want to get paid for even reading these posts, much less identifying the parts and helping do the work.
