2006 S65
AM / FM Weak
I have a 2006 W220 and the AM / FM reception is very weak compared to other cars. I understand there is an amp in the roof (I think) that ties to the rear window antenna. I also understand it is very expensive, so has anyone here had a similar problem and resolved it (maybe with a new antenna installed elsewhere?)

Are your windows tinted? If they are tinted, are they ceramic or metallic tint? Metallic window tint will intefere with radio recepion.

The car looks to have tinted glass (I bought it used), but I am not sure if it is factory or not.

Are your windows like a bluish tint or are they all black around, except for the front?

Not sure, but I think black all around is more accurate. I checked a picture of a stock car and it is obvious that the car is tinted by others....
