HIDs not that bright

HIDs not that bright
I'm looking for some help. I recently purchased a 2004 S500 4Matic and to me it seems as thought the light output on the HIDs are not as bright as I think that they should be. Do the lights start to fade after a while and end up losing it's brightness? If so, does that have to deal more with the bulbs going out or the ballasts going bad? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply back. I ordered new bulbs off of ebay for $13 for both. I saw that someone on here recommended them. As soon as I get the chance will make the change. My hands are kind of big so want to take my time in changing them.

Nowhere did I say that I want the lights so bright to blind people. I've seen other S500s that the light output on the ground is much wider and brighter than the lights on my car. I ordered the same light output as stock, so not sure what you're talking about.

im guessing its hard to blind someone since you got the auto leveling and second he already has HID and the housing for it.. not like the other cars like hondas and toyotas !!!!!

I'd try new OEM bulbs, and especially don't buy cheap bulbs on ebay that aren't OEM, they may actually damage other components if they are low quality.
I have HID on my S55, and it's a 2001 - I got OEM Bulbs on ebay for $55 - the dealer wanted $200!

change the projector lenses to zkwr lenses like the ones from an acura tl..I did but requires alot of patience. The light cut off line is more noticable and definately more light output. If you have noticed the factory projector lenses look hazy compared to the ones from the acura tl. tl lenses look like clear glass.
