2003 S430 4Matic Key No Start Problem
When starting out in the morning the car would start normally, however at some point during one of my stops during the day I would turn the key and nothing would happen. After removing the key several times and retrying, it eventually would start. Very Frustrating!
After a week, the MB dealer tech along with HQ MB Maintenance Support diagnosed the problem and replaced the Ignition CON and new Electronic keys. I drove the car home and the next day the same no-start condition occured.
The HQ MB Maintenance Support suggested that the MB Tech should start tracing the wiring. He found a faulty circuit connection on the Front SAM module. He replaced the SAM module and that fixed the problem.

Thanx for the post. i have 2001 s430 and experienced no start when you turn your key. Luckily its just happened twice within 3 years, but its good to know what may cause the problem!
