because there is platinum inside of them (really Im not joking, search google) and they get BIG MONEY for recycling them.

When the economy got bad around here, thieves started stealing cats off trucks since they could get underneath them without a jack.

Demand to keep it, you can sell it for good money on craigslist or ebay.
