I know you might have spoken of this before, but I have a serious problem with my car. A couple of months ago, one of my front air struts went out. I spent about 1k just on that one strut, and have the same problem. I'll be honest, I haven't checked just yet if it's the same one or the other side. I'm seriously thinking about doing a coil conversion (if there's one available). My questions are....
1 - Is there a conversion available?
2 - What are the pro's and con's of a conversion?
3 - Should I do it?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Cesar

Check Arnott Industries. They have low-cost Airmatic struts (new and rebuilt) and a new coil spring replacement.
I am a strong advocate of keeping a Mercedes original, so I favor replacing the struts. Arnott uses better seals and much stronger air bags; around $800 each for new, $400 for rebuilt.
Few people (as of this date) have replaced with coil springs, but a search may yield their results.
