Unhappy Buried in too much info-- V3M and S 2005

It seems that the more info I read the more confused I feel......
My S600 2005 came with "the cradle" connector under the armrest, now I'm trying to pair that cradle B6787-5869, with the Motorola V3M.

Sequense of events....

When the cradle is first plugged into the connector, Comand says "no phone connected", after a few moments, Comand finds the cradle, and indicates it is trying to "activate the phone please wait".

Specifically, what am I supposed to do on the phone at that moment assuming Bluetooth is already turned "on" the phone?

This are my only choices...... And what I've done...

I've gone to #8 "connections", under "tools"....
Moved down to Bluetooth
Gone into Bluetooth "setup" and tried all the choices available...
1. Find me
2. Power on... (Done that previously, as indicated)
3. Name: Motorola Phone
4. Phone device address....
Next screen 00:15:A8: etc, etc, etc

Comand hour glass/circle continues to run and nothing changes, or asks for 62872 at any time.....

Where is the hitch?

Skylaw:
In essense I am saying that at no time during the blinking stages, fast or slow, do I see any reference to Mercedes Benz anywhere in the phone, from the splash screen to Tools, Bluetooth or whereever. Doubtful that the firmware has anything to do with it.

I found a post in "Hacking Motorola V3M" site from a few years back, which talks about the actual/older firmware in my V3M now, as being better than the newer one because the new one address issues not related to my case here, while in turn introducing other problems in general.
