06 s500 for an 07 e550? The S500 is approaching 91k miles and the e550 has 55k. I've had the s500 for years now and the warranty is almost up. I got a decent trade in value for it, I talked em up, and I'm sure i'd be paying a lot for repairs soon. I have the e550 now for the week end but monday i have to go & pay. I'm only 25, and I do like the faster e550... e550 sport 4matic and just the s500 sport pkg, thanks

well I get 17,500 for the trade-in, the car has been in a few accidents(hit & runs, no one wants to pay for it,) 91,000 miles, at edmonds they say a good trade-in is like 18500 but that doesnt include the accidents and needs new 19" tires. The e550 has no accidents & 60,000 miles at 26,900, edmonds has it retailing 29,000+, it does lack some luxury features but the engine makes up for it. I'll probably do this and get the s550 later

so youre putting more than $9000 cash in the deal, to get a 1 year newer Eclass ?
It seems like you want to do it, but IMO its not a good move. Youre just throwing away $9000
