S600 soon
W220 Questions

Has anyone had the issue with the W220, with the coolant cross hose along the back side of the block? I was speaking with my local MB dealer and the tech was trying to sway me towards an S55 rather than an S600. He said the cross coolant pip is cheap, however the labor to replace is very spendy!!

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Funny my mechanic is saying the same thing, s55 over 600. Saying its sportier and better on maintenance. However I drove s55 and did not like it. Sure it has 500 ponies but did not feel like it. And the engine/exhaus noise combined with the aggressive feel of the car just kills it. I love my s500 because it's smooth and quiet, I just want more power out of the engine. S55 feels like a muscle car instead of a refined automobile.

Welcome to the forum, I haven't had any problems with the hose behind the block....yet...
Nor have I heard of anyone having that problem. A quick search hasn't yielded many results on the issue.

Also, it's usually helpful to have a better description for your thread title. "I have a questions", usually isn't a good title, because that's what almost every thread is. I hate it when people do that. Of course you have a question, that's why you're here, right?

I drove an S55 as well and I liked it just not as much as the S600

Sorry about the title. It was a late night of studying for finals! LOL I have spoken with the Dealer and our local MB Independant Shop that was highly recommended.
