Well, I picked up the car last Monday night, and it was perfect. However, it has rained in New York EVERY DAY. As soon as the weather breaks, I'll post. I'm having the car detailed and tinted on Tuesday (car has very little wax/polish from the dealer).

FYI - I went to Cars.com and added all the options I wanted. The computer gives you 2 prices. Invoice (what the dealer pays from MBUSA) and MSRP (what the dealer will sell the car for). However, they pay LESS than invoice, due to dealer incentives, etc. Varies by dealer. The dealer added $1,500 to the invoice price, and that was the purchase price. The dealer is adding $20,000 over MSRP for SL 55's!!!!

Thanks all. I am supposed to have the windows lightly tinted tomorrow, and then detailed. However, being that the weather in NY is HORRIBLE, I may delay it a few days.

 

Outstanding vehicle, love the new stock 17" rims. It seems a shame to destroy such a car on the roads of New York. Maybe you can apply the old Jerry Lundegaard "undercoat"?

 

Actually, they are re-doing the entire Long Island Expressway, the roads are improving. Today is the first nice day in 2 weeks! So, please excuse me, as I have 18 holes to visit
