Seat problem

My just bought S320CDI has a problem with the drivers seat
It wont go higher or lower and the other functions are OK
For the seatsurface to move I had to "insist" but now it seems to work ok
Does the motor needs oil or something or could it be the switch that has a problem
Thanks
Eric

Mine had a similar issue, dealer replaced the seat control module on the door. All good now.

Would it be possible to apply some current to get the seat higher and then leave it this way ( once at the desired level I dont need to move it anymore) ????
Is this possible somewhere under the seat ?
Thanks
Eric
