I was driving my 2003 s500 4matic and it just stops driving. I press the gas and the rpms go up. The ABS/BAS/ESP lights came on. I brought it home and a few days later the shifter is stuck in park now. Any ideas?

You have broken the plastic safety lock for the shifter. A $5.00 part but a costly labor bill if you do not perform the labor yourself. Search the threads there are step by step photos for DIYers. Here is a link, Good Luck.

I tookthe whole thing apart and it does not look like the plastic thing is broken. Anymore suggestions?
