2004 S500 Nav Question
Hey Guys,
Bought a 2004 S500 couple weeks ago and cant seem to figure out the navigation. When I push the nav or map button "Navigation Device Unavailable" appears on the screen. I have the disc in the trunk from mercedes benz. I seem to be missing the phone in the middle glovebox. Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldnt find the solution after searching on Mbworld.
Any suggestions where to get a new cupholder and Xenon Bulb?

Has it ever worked since you bought the car?Have you tried reloading the DVD making sure to load correctly? You should also make sure it's a DVD not a CD for older W220 2000-2003. Be patient when I put in an updated DVD it takes quite some time for the sat nav to start working. If yes you may want to see if someone has unplugged something in the trunk.

what year is the DVD (i.e. is it the 2010 disk? version 10?)
If so, you will need the 211 service disk. I have one floating around somewhere I can get you the part number, but a search on this forum will likely find it.

In addition, if you bought the disc from your authorized dealer, report the problem to them; if an update is needed, they will likely do it free. If it is a problem with the electronics, it won't be free.
