Junkyard diving?
Hi All,
My 2003 S430 has had the SRS light on for longer than I can remember. The two culprits to my knowledge were the passenger side airbag seat sensor and seat belt receptacle.
A local shop is going to replace the seat sensor but I cannot for the life of me get my mind around paying the almost $1,000 I was quoted for a new seat belt (complete unit) parts & labor to replace a perfectly working seat belt system including the receptacle just because a freaking sensor in it is bad.
So - any recommendations? I thought perhaps a junkyard might have just the receptacle so I can replace that piece only since everything else is fine.
Thanks for your help!

Dang, what kind of junkyards do you have in your area that carry W220 Mercedes? Beverly hills or somewhere?
Check down in the classifieds section where people are parting out W220. Hopefully they'd be willing to part with a seatbelt for like $50 or so?
