Bose stereo / speaker issues

Bose stereo / speaker issues
This has been happening since I've had the car (a little over a year). When I start the car with the stereo on, only the right front speaker comes on. If I turn the ignition off (to position 1), then restart the car, all of the speakers come on. The dealer said something about a module that controlled the stereo/amp/speakers. I don't know what he was talking about. I've never heard anyone refer to a module for the stereo operation. Anyone on here know? Could that be my problem? I've pulled, twisted and wiggled the connectors going to and from the Bose amp in the trunk and it has absolutely no effect on which speakers play. Any help would be appreciated, as my next step is a new system altogether.Thanks,
