I went up again for the grudge drags on July 5th. Results were pretty much the same as last time (it was HOT up there)... 12.0s when I launched softly, 11.7 - 11.8 when I launched with a bit of brake torque. I got my new best 60' time in the benz (1.72 !!) and ran another 11.6.

I still dont see how you get that car to launch like that with out smoking the tires. The wife and i looked at CLK55, you could brake torque it just a little and it just went ot mad wheels spinn through fist and second. that car only had 375lbtq and you car has like 650.... Damn i need a better job...

In the video you can hear the rear brakes engaging from input from ASR and ESP computers. I have 2001 S600 and just had to replace my rear pads and not my fronts because I launch fast a lot.......if I turn ESP off I can smoke the tires easily.
Don't understand why a CLK55 would smoke if you have ESP turned on?
