4MATIC + ABC = ERROR; Clarification?

4MATIC + ABC = ERROR; Clarification?
the literature states that 4MATIC and ABC are mutually exclusive.
does this mean:
(a) 4MATIC includes ABC
(b) 4MATIC includes some ABC functionality ("mini-ABC"!)
(c) 4MATIC includes no ABC - that is, it's no different than the S class cars before ABC (other than AWD, of course).
anybody know the answer to this? a friend of mine has a pre-ABC S500 and has driven an ABC S500 and thinks it's a substantial improvement when driving the car hard. i have to go 4MATIC so i'm trying to find out whether i'm sacrificing ABC or whether the ordering restriction is because ABC is included (in whole or in part) in the 4MATIC system.

sorry - i don't mean to sound like an idiot, but i guess what i'm trying to figure out is whether or not the 4MATIC technology includes some of the ABC technology. i understand that the two options are "mutually exclusive" just like you can't order both 18" and 17" wheels on the car.
my understanding is that ABC is an incredibly valuable feature for controlling nose dives and lurches when driving hard in a car of this size.
i'm trying to learn whether or not 4MATIC, since it cannot be ordered with the "normal" ABC contains some or all of the ABC features in it.
my guess is that it does not, but i'm hoping someone actually knows for sure.
