wiper arm update
has anyone with an early '00 updated the wiper arms to the later model arms that accept the aero blades? if so, it it a direct swap? with the cost of the metal wiper blades, it's probably not much more to buy a used set of arms and aero blades (and they look better too).

Also if you can't find the Bosch refills you can buy universal fit Bosch 28 inch metal blades for about $15 , and cut the Bosch frame to get the refill out, and put it in the mb frame. Firestone sold Bosch blades and did this for me at no charge. That's how I discovered the trick !!

Check this out. I just found these yesterday for my 1999 W220 S500.
I have been looking for years and came across these by mistake.
The key is the wiper arm hook. Our S class has an 11mm type as opposed to the standard 9mm type. 11mm types are commercial truck/bus style but Mercedes S class, Audi A2, Ford Galaxy/VW Sharan have these...!!
They are made by Heyner in Germany and are retrofit flat blade style which connect to our old style 11mm hook using adaptors...
