2003 Performance Glass Windshield
Can anyone tell me if this interferes with a Sunpass (toll paying device), and if so where do you mount the device? Is it supposed to go where the cutout is on the passenger side?
Thanks
Thanks

It is winsshield with clear UV and heat blocking tint laminated into it. It is made by V Kool and blocks 99% UV, 55% heat. Mercmaniac turned me on to it. I am having it installed on the inside os my 00 S500 tomorrow. Lots of heat comes thru that big windshield, especially in FL.

In english it means you should be OK, but the usual disclaimer (I am not responsible applies)

no dealer can't do it, there is a company called Glass America, they are ordering from the dealer in my city and installing it, glass america is collecting my deductible and i had to tell them my car type and they said they will order the appropriate one, i dont think they plan on giving me an upgrade.. I dont even know if a 2002 or 2001 will plug and play into a 2000 car.
Also my back windsheild has a crack all the way from top to bottom all the way in the right, you can't see it cuz of the tints and its all the way at the side, i heard its gonna be cracking all in peices inevitable, but i dont know if i want to file another comp claim, my insurance is already sick of me.

I got my V Kool installed in windshield today. I am kind of the guinea pig for this stuff in my area, so it is free. It is more difficult to work with than regular tint, as it has alot more metal in it. It is showing some lines in it which are hopefully water, which will eventually evaporate out. Or it could be scorched (I hope not) as it is very sensitive to heat guns. The installer went very light on the heat. I will probably know in 4-5 days.
If its not water, they'll try again. But it is cool. Its clear, but you don't need sungalsses anymore.

Hi. I haven't been on the site for quite awhile.
The V Kool had to be installed a second time, but turned out great. It really does keep the heat and rays damage down. The glass has a slight blue tint from the outside, which looks good to me.
I definitely recommend it for the older S classes that have no tint in the windsheild.
