Crankshaft Position Sensor location

Please help! Stealership wanted $850 to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on my grandfather's 2006 S65 AMG. Crazy, huh?

I've looked at threads that say it's pretty easy to change, but I can't find the sensor on the v12 TT engine. Spent 15 minutes with a flashlight and not sure where it is!

Can someone please help me locate the sensor? Thanks in advance!!!

I bought my sensor off amazon for like $25 and had my Indy install it for $50. It's a tight fit, he had to remove the right intercooler and air box to get to it and even then he had to have "the skinny guy" install it on my s600 v12tt

Thanks for the tip. Turns out the dealership was flat out lying to me. My car runs fine without touching the sensor.
