Remove seat cushion?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum, and I need some assistance.

My parents own a 2000 S500, and the leather is ripped on the drivers seat bottom cushion. I bought a new (actually used, but in mint condition) leather cushion cover, and trying to replace it for them. I have removed all the surrounding plastic trim around the seat cushion, but the cushion itself sits tightly within the metal frame, and there's no way it could be reupholstered without being removed. Are there any manuals/tutorials I can find online to get this job done?

I'm not very familiar with Merdeces, but I'm pretty well inclined mechanically, and have done similar work in the past on other cars.
