exhaust noise - got new catalytic converter/warranty
my 01 s500S with 34K was making noise on idle... i thought something was loose on the exhaust mount, etc....
turns out, they found some internal derangement with the catalytic converter.... some baffles or element coming loose....
i had a new converter replaced under warranty.....
if you get noisy vibration from under the car, audible during idle, it may not be the exhaust system mount. . . .
Has this happened to anyone else?
