He may be right. My '03 S600 has the factory dual stainless tips, but the exhaust pipes point directly rearward and these are basically extensions that continue out the back. On your car, the exhaust elbows downward at the ends, and may not be far enough below the rear bumper fascia to let them come straight back. So even if you cut off the elbow bend, you might not have the pipe down far enough to mount the extension tip in line and still be under the bumper. The parts themselves should be available at the dealer, and would be listed under the S55 AMG or S600 cars. Hope that helps.

before I mounted the AMG bumper I had to trim my bumper to fit the quad exhaust or the bumper would be in the way

So if you have clearance, then you should be able to trim off the elbow ends of the exhaust pipes and install the stainless tips over them. I'm not sure if you'll have enough length left to reach the tips and have them extend back far enough, but you should be able to add a short piece of extension to reach them if needed. After all, the tips are purely ornamental, so it shouldn't be a problem.
