Wrong battery terminals connected !
So the stupidest thing I ever did this morning was ask someone to jump start my car with another fully charged battery. not paying close attention to the molded + and - symbols, the charged battery's +ve went to the car's -ve, and -ve went to the car's +ve (discharged battery in its place, connected)... the person doing it saw a huge spark before I attempted to switch on the ignition. the wrong connection was on for about 15-20 seconds before i rushed to the rear free off the clips.
After connecting it properly, the cluster/lights/seats would all work properly, car ticks for about 6 secs but won't fire up. Am I gonna be dealing with a fried ECU/alternator here or do you think my fuses saved it ? And how do i tell ? (my OB91 Scanner displays no fault)
Thanks a lot for any input !
