2003 S55 AMG - Need a Plug-in System Reader

I have a 2003 S55 and I do all my own general maintenance (Oil Change, Breaks, etc.) I was looking if anyone knew of a good plugin device that I could purchase to read and clearout the display. I change my breaks when the display tells me to, but I have to take it to someone to clear the meaasage out after installation. I would like the ability to read and clear my own messeages out.

Any Device Recommendations? Thanks,

I have one of these and it works well for the basics

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD-2-CAN-AU...1be329&vxp=mtr

If you want more than you can get a carsoft 7.4 unit for a little more at amazon.... i have worked with one before and they are great.

The ultimate is of course the star system...which you can get for about $350 online (chinese copy but works well for occasional use)

Thanks PillDrive, will look into this one. Heard some are not the best for all Mercedes Models (but you get what you pay for). But thanks, great product.

no need to reset the brake light, that is controlled by a sensor. Replace the sensor properly with replacing pads and the light will go away. I use a standard OBD reader. Star Diag controls the SRS, ABC and other lights.
