W 220 320 cdi

I recently sold my E 320 CDi which i had owned from new and had covered 240,000 miles in 7 years and replaced it with a W220 320 Cdi. The idea being instead of getting hammered by depreciation I would choose my next car very carefully and pay less than £10,000 for it.
I have been surprised by the fuel economy on the 220 and am averaging 39mpg (UK gallons). The car had one owner from new with a full MB service history and had covered 63,000 miles on an 03 plate.
The ride is even better than the E Class ( also with Air suspension)
The room inside is as good as you'd expect and the car has some very stylish features inside. I do think the outside has aged a little but i still think it has that presence that only an S Class, Rolls or Bentley have.
The running costs are very similar as I use an Indie or Bosch Centre for servicing as I did with the E Class.
I look forward to learning from all the knowledgeable members on this forum.

Yeah these cars are great! I owned my 03 s500 4 matic for3 months now and i find something new about it everyday. The only real expense was the ac condenser froze and broke pully. Good thing it happened two blocks from my mechanic. Im gettin an average 21 mpg combined city/hwy. Other than that i live the car and the looks i get while driving it around town. Even though it is 10 years old it still looks fresh in style and class. Even the old guys stop and stare, feels good sometimes. Good luck on your new ride.
