Sirius Mod Success

I did not know that my Cartronics device (Bluetooth/IPOD) intergration device that I bought 4 years ago had a auxillary jack on it. After many headaches I was going to resort to a bad decision and purchase a fm modulator to play sirius through my radio. After realizing that the Cartronics had a aux ouput on the device I was up and running and no need to use the FM modulator. That being said the next issue was finding a place to put the sirius radio that would keep the benz clean. I finally put it in the armrest and it works perfectly!. I removed the center consol and ran all the wires underneath the armrest. Now all I have to do is get it hardwired. SHould have done this much sooner.

I think the cost was around $800 (back in 08) but the company Cartronics is no longer in business from what I have read in the forums. I went with that option then because I wanted a integrated solution for both handsfree bluetooth and also ipod integrated all through my command system. I did not want to change the radio for these options and have the none mercedes look. If you are still interested the gateway 500 is a similar solution http://www.dension.com/product/iPod-...ts/gateway-500

or in 2012 there may be another solution for this integration on the forum somewhere.
