hi guys i just bought a s430 and the ignition would not turn. i tried a new key fob same problem based on my research on mbworld sounds like the eis. can a indy shop do the job?
what is the cost to do this job?
can it be done by urself?

Is the remote working at all also was the problem intermittent or all of sudden its stopped working. Was the battery flat and where about is the car ?

the battery was low. i also found out changing eis at a indy shop would cost $800-$1000. eis$400-$500, GREEN master key$221 and labor.
