In dash clock not working

Hi I am new to the forums and I was wondering if anybody else has the same problem and knows how to fix it. I have a 2000 S430 and the digital clock in the dash is acting weird. The clock is saying all different times that do not exist. In dash clock not working-043.jpg I tried to add in a picture but not sure if it really worked. The clock sometimes has X`s through the numbers, backward numbers, and sometimes reads crazy like 35:00 o`clock. I was thinking maybe something overheated since it is summer but not sure what it could be. Any ideas would be a big help thanks.

I assume that you have the command center with navigation. Try resetting the clock via the command center. You will need to have the key in the 1 or 2 position and use the SVC button on your command center. It will then prompt you for your next steps. I believe it says something like "set date and time"

2000 S500 clock display,etc

My wife's 2000 S500 had the same issue after some work was done. Dealer basically said it needed a new dash - clock was displaying weird digits and the gear indicator was odd also.....Since they wanted something like $1100 - we said we could live with it.... So it just started working again on it's own - and seems to be temp or season sensitive...so I suspect some sort of connection issue.
