Transmission life?

Hey guys how long does the transmission last in these cars? I saw a post reply that said tranny last from 150 -200 k. Is that true? I got 145k on mine now. What can I expect from the tranny on these cars?

Yes you saw my comment about tranny life. You do realize there's no hard and fast rule, some will last till 300,000 miles , some will last 100,000 miles .

Most ppl who have reported a tranny failure in this forum had between 150-200k miles , but that doesn't mean yours will go out in 5k at all. The biggest issue is fixing leaks, ESP leaks into the electric connector. Leaking Tranny fluid gets sucked in and if not quickly fixed, ruins your tranny. Ok thanks i just saw reply and said mannnn. Im fixing a strut and i just saw the tranny poat..........My driver side strut went and replacing it on wensday. I knew and was prepared that these cars are maintenence required and part fail and cost a lot. That was settled in my mind before i brought it so when some issue shows up I am not as shocked as if I did not know. This forum helped me so much to understand my car and ease the sometimes anxiety that can happen when I hear a strange sound comming from car.The passenger strut was replaced at 109k so thats should be good for atleast 50k. I will keep the maintenance going, The next big thing to do is valve cover leak fix. Using 1 qt oil every 2-3 wks. Then brakes are next rear rotors and pads all around, and the 150k tranny service. Thanks for your response
