2004 S600 w220
I have always wanted a Mercedes since I was a kid. I love the style and ride of the car. I might have went overboard, but I found a sweet S600 for sale. I was considering buying a w221 class s550, but just couldn't justify the cost. I just couldn't pass us the deal I got on the S600. I picked it up for $14k, it had 103k miles on it, has recenty had all the plugs replaced and a host of other maintenance items. I bought it in May of 2012, and right off the bat had to iron out some problems. No wonder I got it for such a good price, nonetheless I think I got a good deal. Only time will tell. So far; replaced radiator ($1500), water pump ($1500), auxillary water pump ($500), ABC line ($1,000) (pinched by a curb probably due to not belly pans), ignition module ($1,000). And now the car will not have to go out of park, so that is going to cost me too. hey, I figure I am driving a $130k+ car, and well, it is still quite a deal. I also likely have motor mounts to do. The car drives like a dream, when not it the garage, and I use it for a daily driver. So instead of driving a $45k S550, and selling for a 30k loss, later down the road, I decided to go the other direction, albeit it might be foolish. Wish me luck!
