why do you have to change the speed sensor?

heavy steering and all those warnings are indicative of a car whose battery was disconnected and the proper resets were not done.

See the sticky thread on how to do the resets

Even the speedometer not working is caused by the battery. Needing to be reset, someone told me it was a speed sensor on one of the four wheels
