S430 in limp mode possible sensor problem

So i took the car to an indy shop and the codes p0720 and p0500, the mechanic said i need to change the output shaft sensor. Ive been to 4 parts stores and no one can help me. Does anyone have any suggestions ? I would greatly appreciate it thanks

Do you mean crank position sensor? That is a very common problem with these cars. My 2000 S500 a few years ago had this problem. Good luck

Figured out what my problem was, i had to get my cluster version coded

It's not really clear what your issue is - the one described early in the thread, or just pre-safe, or...

If it is the earlier problem from the thread:
Start the engine. Turn the steering full left, then full right, then back to center. Turn the engine off, wait for a minute, start the engine.
Did the warnings go away?

There are a lot of things on the W220 that need resetting occasionally, especially if your battery is marginal.

If you still have warnings, start your own thread.
Use a descriptive title (NOT something like "Need Help"!)
Give a full description of your car: (Model S430,S500, S600); Year; Market the car was built for; 4Matic or not; Anything special.
Give a FULL description of what the car is and is not doing. The more information you give, the better your chances are of getting a good guess from the Forum.

430l srs abs bas lights came on after jump start and new battery fitted

Ran perfectly before left for few weeks with battery connected went flat new battery fitted these lights came in
went to local mechanic plugged it in to solus would not clear is a visit to merc dealer inevitable

If the problem happened after a dead battery you simply need to reset the systems .
