S430 Battery Drain question
If this has been answered I do apologize. But any help is appreciated
I bought a 2000 S430. 4 weeks ago battery died on me and couldn't get into the trunk, not daily driver so wasn't really in a rush to change battery. So after fighting with the trunk for about a week, finally got the trunk opened replaced the battery with a brand new one.
Start the car, everything is fine, interior lights come on with door open, have to replace the fuse (locking and unlocking doors, trunk release etc).
Since car isn't daily driver I figure I'll start it every 2 days and give a nice 10 minute run around the block.
2 days later, battery is dead again. Doors will lock and unlock, trunk release works but does not have enough power to start the car. Interior lights will not come on when switch (dome light) switched to door (selected towards sunroof) with door open, but will come on with door closed and switch (selected in the middle and all the way forward towards windshield). Any clue as to what can be causing this drain?

Could also be the ground. Check the battery cables are attached correctly and securely and then check the ground (black) cable to be sure it is securely attached to the frame/body of the vehicle. IF there is any corrosion on the battery cables or connectors it can cause a poor connection and the symptoms you describe.
