Pcv valves on S600??

what are the two valves attached to the two hoses on the top front of the v12tt engine? Can they be replaced and if so, does anyone have a part number for either? Is the actual pcv the plastic disc on the air box intake on the drivers side? How can I check if it's bad?
Is it possible to clean out the oil separator to make sure it's functioning properly?
I'm experiencing higher than the usually high oil consumption.
Thanks.

OK, nevermind the part numbers, they are etched on the valves when I spun them around:
For posterity:
A2750180029 is the grey colored one closest to the front of the engine.
A0004701393 is the black one that is just in front of the voltage regulator (I noticed that the hose on one side leading into it has dryrotted).

Still curious about the rest though...

Grey one is PCV. Check my maintenance thread, post#4.
Black is breather for fuel vapor purging.

Thanks.

As always, Howard, thank you!

The fuel vapor purge line has dryrotted and cracked. Not sure how critical that is, but she doesn't feel as peppy as she usually does.
Figure it wouldn't hurt to replace the valve and hoses given she's got about 105k miles on the clock now.

I've removed the grey PCV valve and soaked it in cleaner and replaced it. What's been happening is that after a long drive, when I shut down the engine, I get hissing from aound the valve. If I pinch off the hose it is attached to, the hissing stops, when I release it, the hissing starts again and eventually goes away in about 5 minutes.

No problem.

For PCV, a hose clamp will help to seal. Or buy new hose/valve assembly for $40. Easy to replace.
I believe neither of the components you mentioned are critical for engine as both of them serve environment protection. But it is true you lose vacuum if they leak.

BTW, the PCV include the oil separator(at engine head), and two ventilation hoses. One ventilation hose is the one with the grey valve in discusion. The other ventilation hose is the one you mentioned which connected to the driver side air box.

Thanks.

Howard
