e85
I was thinking of getting either the s600 or s65. Has anyone heard of these cars running e85? I've converted my current car to run on e85 by changing out the fuel pump and injectors, but I'm not sure the technicalities of these cars. I know I can't just put it in the tank and drive it, bust assuming I got it tuned for e85, what else would I need to change out? Can the stock fuel pump handle the ethanol?

I have herd from tunners who say and claim it can be done. However why bother running E85 is my question? Are you looking at it to not save money but increase performance? Colder it should run higher octane fuel. You can make more power on E85 than pump gas and it runs cooler than racing gas allowing the car to run more boost and more timing with E85 and that means more power of course.
I am not knocking your idea but I just hope all this is not to save a couple bucks lol. if I was that worried about saving money I'd be driving a Camry.

All joking aside the cars now have switched more to the E85 and are making alot more power because of it. One example of a car that has higher power on ethanol is the Koenigsegg CCXR that on ethanol is the third-most powerful production car and with 20% more bhp on the E85 than on 93+ Oct gasoline. The gasoline we all buy at the pumps already has about 10% ethanol or so in it. Car companies have been making the fuel systems suitable for E85 for some time now. If I recall reading correctly the cars ECU(Electronic Control Unit) not being able to adjust to different fuels such as 87,88,89,90,91,92,93 octane vs E85 but supposedly there is a flasher of some kind I guess that will allow you to adjust for it. Where are you located by the way? If you live where its very cold in the winters the E85 is based on the temperatures, so you may get a certin mix one day and a different one the next.

I'm in SoCal. So from wha I here the blend is pretty consistent. But I'm entertaining the idea of buying a home brew kit and start making me own. The Pump and Mixer is pricey but I have a buddy who's down to go in on it. Makes e85 out of Sugar
