loss of elec power to rear of car

2004 Mercedes s500. Loss of power to rear of car. No tail lights, brake lights, fuel gauge, rear sun shade, reverse lights. Car runs great, no issues there. Checked every fuse to be found. Removed rear seat looking for anything disconnected. Is there a circuit breaker or somewhere else to look? Need help. Thanks

No power to rear of car sounds like a defective SAM. There is a rear same located just behind where the rear fuse box on this car is. If moisture is introduced they are notorious for going faulty. Only way to properly diagnose this is with a DAS machine. Mercedes Benz dealer or independant workshop. The DAS will be able to tell if it can still communicate with the SAM if not replace SAM.

loss

Is the SAM the box that looks like a computer under the right rear seat? Or is it a relay item under there. There is several items. Can I remove this and take it to be tested? The closest Mercedes dealer is 45 minutes away and with no tail lights that makes it a little hairy. Thanks for the input on where to look. I 'll let you know if that 's it.

No - Rear SAM is located behind the fuse box in the trunk, should be on the left side of the trunk. Unfortunatly only way to diagnose this problem is with a star machine. Please refer to photos below.
