full audio install s500

ok my friend just got a 2000 s500 and he wants to replace the door speakers with some earthquake speakers powered by a aftermarket amp and maybe some 15s in the trunk powered by another amp he wants to keep the head unit and add a eq now I have some experience in auto audio so am trying to help him how would we go about with this install? Does the car have fiber optics?

he said he wants to keep a factory look, plus do you think he should go with 2 15s ported or two 12s in a ported box?

I agree bose system has a great sound. I would only change it if something was broken in whole system. Why mess with a good thing. Bose designed it especially for the s class thats why it sounds the way it does. Now if you just want to put a radio package in your car to sound good go change it but if you want a system that was designed for your car stick with the bose. But to each his own.
